Generating quality content to increase traffic and engagement

The customer

iTec is a full-service supplier of machines within steel and plate cutting, and offer solutions to a large variety of industries. They have a large focus on quality, and have over 18 years experience in the industry. The combination of experience and high quality products have given them a leading role in the industry, which they would like to focus on in their branding.

For a long time, iTec saw good results from traditional marketing and demonstrations at fairs and customer visits. However, when their customers moved over to the digital world, they were not able to keep up as easily. Therefore, they wanted help with developing and implementing a complete digital and traditional marketing strategy. The goal was to build a strong brand, as well as increase leads and sales. In addition, they wanted to re-evaluate their marketing budget in order to increase their ROI (Return on Investment).

We come in

iTec did not have an in-house marketing team, which could help reform their marketing the way they wanted. They therefore asked Singlot to work as an integrated part of the company. Our first focus was to analyze the previous results from their marketing, and develop a marketing strategy. The strategy included a long term plan for among others organic and digital presence, printing promotional materials, and producing content. We created accounts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter, and implemented tracking across the website and digital media to be able to analyze the results. After the initial ramp-up phase, we worked closely with iTec for several months to implement and optimize their marketing. Our work included regular creation and distribution of informative and industry-related content, advertising on social media, advertising in online and offline industry magazines, and printing promotional materials. In addition we were involved in external and internal branding through collaboration with partners ad clients, and established social media guidelines for the employees.

Thanks to the tracking implemented we could analyze exact results from the marketing efforts. The new content strategy gave a 685.67% increase in sessions on the home page, and a 692.16% increase in new users. Video views increased by 1859.47% and average view time per video increased 42.86%. The reach for video ads increased by 941.72%, while for traffic to website ads, the reach increased by 734.51%. Within 3 months, Facebook likes increased 20.64%, and the average organic (unpaid) reach per post increased 241.56%.
